Lived Experience - ADHD
Alison is an experienced teacher, school leader, education consultant, speaker and a sister with lived experience of neurodevelopmental disorders. Her presentation draws on growing up with brother, David, who is diagnosed with ADHD, to share how the family worked to support David through his journey of medication, relationships, and employment as an adult. She will relate how David impacted her understanding of ADHD and how she shares this knowledge with teachers and parents in the Tasmanian school context.
